New SOAS-ACE research grant projects

SOAS-ACE is delighted to launch five new research grant projects focusing on anti-corruption within the private sector. Research has begun with expected results in 12 months’ time:

  • Achieving anti-corruption innovations in the electricity sector in Lebanon: social mobilisation and gender roles
  • Addressing corruption and primitive accumulation in the land sector through titling in Tanzania
  • Busting the myth of ‘miracle examination centres’ in Nigeria: malpractice in private secondary school examinations
  • Addressing corporate corruption in South Africa
  • Lending corruption and bank loan contracting: implications for gender inequity and inclusive growth in West Africa
